White Sox deal for Adam Dunn “basically done”

December 2, 2010

Jon Heyman of SI.com just tweeted that the White Sox have signed Adam Dunn for a little less than his 4 year $60 million asking price.  This is a huge blow to the Twins as most said the White Sox were a left-handed bat away from really contending with them last year.  So far this offseason, both the Tigers and White Sox have gotten much better and the Twins seem to be taking steps back.  Here is Heymans tweet:

@SI_JonHeyman: dunn deal is basically done, no pun intended. told he got “a bit less” than the $60 mil, 4-yr asking price from #chisox
